Job Title - Grants Manager

Summary:
The Grants Manager coordinates and monitors grant-funded programs for Penelope House and assists the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) with recordkeeping. This person directs and coordinates the evaluation and monitoring of the grant-funded programs. This person is under the supervision of the Chief Financial Officer and works closely with both the Chief Financial Officer and Grant Writer.
Duties will include, but not be limited to:
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
General knowledge of public and private sources of funding available to non-profit organizations. . Specific knowledge of relevant policies, guidelines and regulations required for grant implementation and retention. Skills must include an understanding of established processes, grant funding cycles, working knowledge of computers, specifically Microsoft Excel and Office. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing. Ability to work as part of a team. Ability to lift 25 pounds.
Minimum Qualifications
Graduation from an accredited four (4) year college or university or the equivalent in training and experience. Accounting/Bookkeeping experience is preferred. Some administrative experience is preferred. Information Management experience is a plus. Must have a valid Alabama Driver’s License and proof of liability insurance. Clearance through the State Central Registry on Child Abuse and Neglect. Must be U.S. citizen or provide proof of eligibility to work in this country.
